Who is PolishMyWriting.com?
This site is a startup project under the Dashnine Media umbrella. Don't worry, Dashnine isn't large faceless corporation X. Actually, Dashnine is one guy. My name is Raphael.
The Story
During a past life, I was a researcher for the military making very cool things. I had one problem though. I was very slow to finish my technical reports. Writing and technical content--no problem. Policy compliant writing style. Ah... not so much. I had a verbose writing style and no idea how to fix it. One day I looked for automated tools to help. I didn't find anything suitable that was free and available for MacOS X. So I created PolishMyWriting.com. I hope you find it useful.
Technology
I'm still a researcher at heart. This site uses the Moconti Application Server. I plan to investigate the use of mobile agents to create scalable and fault tolerant web applications. These two features only exist on paper right now. Please don't kill my server(s) yet. The Sleep Scripting Language drives the dynamic content of this site.
The natural language parsing engine is of my own design. Nothing too crazy but it gets the job done. I love the NLP community, really I do. They are the first I know of to cite an 11 year old UNIX Sed script in so many places. The rule engine is code named Death Star. It is flexible, fast, and scalable.
